This
year edition is a further step towards 2010 European BIG JUMP
big size (half way of the water European Framework Directive).
Several
outstanding events will mark intermediary 2008 BIG JUMP.
First of all, a huge BIG JUMP will be organised in Saragossa
on the occasion of the International Expo on water, thanks
to several local NGOs like COAGRET. Hungary with WWF, will
take part in the event this year, hopefully opening the door
to other Eastern countries. We also salute England's participation,
which will probably be enriched next year by Irish and Scottish
BIG JUMPS. Italy of course will participate again this year
thanks to the NGO "Lega Ambiente"
And as usual, many local BIG JUMPS will be organised here
and there in Europe. We already know that Switzerland will
participate (WWF), as well as N Holland ( Amsterdam), Germany
(Rhine/Leine) , Belgium and France ( Loire, Seine and Dordogne
rivers) organised by (SOS Loire Vivante, Marne Vive) !

much bigger Mediterranean Big Jump in the coming years ! The
mediterrandean Big Jump is a common project of ERN and the Anna
Lindh Foundation.

NGO) takes part to the Big Jump. Until now, only few Big Jump
took place in Itlay. This will change now ! Lega Ambiente links
its campaign fro rivers and lakes to a Big Jump event. Bravo
